1. Introduction
Strive Gym Log (“we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy.
This Privacy Policy describes what data the app (“the App”) accesses, how it is used, how it is stored, and how it can be deleted.
For clarity, your device’s health platform (such as the health system provided by the operating system) will be referred to simply as “Health” throughout this policy.
We design the App with privacy by default — we do not collect, share, or transmit personal data unless it is strictly necessary to provide core functionality such as subscriptions.
2. Data the App Accesses and Collects
a) Health Data (Exercise, Activity & Body Measurements)
If you choose to enable Health integration and grant permissions, the App may read and write Health data supported by your device.
This may include:
- exercise duration
- calories burned
- distance
- exercise/workout
- body weight
Purpose:
To sync your cardio workouts, bodyweight measurements, update activity details, and display your progress within the App.
Access:
Only after you explicitly opt in and grant permissions. You may revoke access at any time in your device settings.
Storage:
Health data remains stored only on your device.
The App does not upload Health data to any server.
Sharing:
Never shared or transmitted to third parties.
Deletion:
Revoking permissions stops all future access.
Uninstalling the App removes any locally stored data created by the App. Data stored in Health remains under your control.
b) Workout Logs & App Data (Created Inside the App)
This includes exercises, routines, sets, reps, weights, notes, body measurements, and preferences created inside the App.
- Stored: Only locally on your device
- Used: To provide workout tracking features
- Shared: Never
- Deleted: Automatically when you uninstall the App
c) Anonymous Analytics (Plausible)
We use Plausible, a privacy-focused analytics tool that:
- does not use cookies
- does not collect IP addresses
- does not collect device identifiers
- does not track individual users
- does not profile or link sessions
Plausible only provides aggregated, anonymous usage statistics (e.g., feature usage counts, visit duration).
- Retention: typically 12 months (Plausible policy)
- Shared: Not shared by us
- Stored: Only on Plausible systems

d) Error & Crash Reporting (Bugsnag)
We use Bugsnag to identify and fix technical issues.
Before error reports are sent, we remove or mask:
- user identifiers
- IP addresses
- device identifiers
- all user-entered content
- any personal or Health data
Reports may include non-identifiable technical metadata (e.g., OS version, stack trace).
- Retention: 7 days
- Use: Stability diagnostics
- Shared: Only with Bugsnag

e) Purchases & Subscriptions (RevenueCat)
For processing in-app purchases, RevenueCat handles:
- an anonymous RevenueCat customer identifier
- purchase receipts from the app store
We do not receive your name, email, IP address, or any personal account information.
Used exclusively to verify purchase status and unlock premium features.

3. Legal Basis for Processing
We process data only when necessary to:
- deliver subscription features (contractual necessity)
- maintain and improve app stability (legitimate interest)
- sync Health data if you choose to grant permissions (user choice & functionality)
We do not use personal data for advertising, tracking, or profiling.
4. Data Retention

We do not operate our own servers and do not store any data outside the listed providers.
5. Data Deletion
a) Data stored on your device
Deleted automatically when you uninstall the App.
b) Health data
Whatever Strive Creates and syncs, can be deleted or modified directly via your device’s Health settings.
Whatever is pulled from Health is deleted automatically when you uninstall the App.
c) RevenueCat data
We can delete your RevenueCat customer identifier used for support.

d) Support communications
Deleted within 30 days of resolving your request.
e) Analytics and crash logs
Deleted automatically after their respective retention periods.
They cannot be linked to you, so manual deletion is not required.
6. Your Rights (EU/EEA Users)
Since we do not collect personal data, most GDPR rights (access, portability, correction) do not apply.
You may request deletion of:
- Your RevenueCat customer identifier
- Any support emails
Workout and Health data remains under your full control on your device.
7. Security
We apply industry-standard security practices, including:
- encryption by providers where applicable
- secure handling of local app data
- no transmission of Health data to servers
- trusted third-party processors (Plausible, Bugsnag, RevenueCat) compliant with applicable regulations
8. Changes to This Policy
Any updates will be posted in the App and on our website.
Continued use of the App after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
